Scotland coach Andy Robinson has added Nathan Hines and Alasdair Strokosch to his injury-hit squad ahead of next weekend's RBS 6Nations wooden spoon showdown with Italy.
Like the Azzurri, Robinson’s side have lost their opening two games but the Scots have also suffered the loss of full-back Chris Paterson and wingers Thom Evans and Rory Lamont for the rest of the competition.
However, Hines and Strokosch have both recovered from the injuries that kept them out of last weekend’s heartbreaking 31-24 defeat to Wales in Cardiff.
Edinburgh’s Simon Webster has been invited to train with the squad, but team-mate Jim Thompson misses out through injury.
