Jonny Wilkinson insists England's away form has got to start improving sooner rather than later as they prepare to face Italy in Rome.
England have yet to win away from Twickenham during Martin Johnson’s reign while they last tasted victory on the road in the RBS 6 Nations in France in 2008.
It’s five successive defeats away from HQ for England and Toulon fly-half Wilkinson wants that run to come to an end against the Azzurri.
“The team that wins the Six Nations is the one that wins away from home,” said Wilkinson.
“You have to take your game from somewhere you are familiar to somewhere you are not so familiar.
“You have to impose your game on that environment as opposed to letting that environment and that other team take you out.”
