British and Irish Lion Jenkins is out with a calf problem
Another injury blow for Gatland as Jenkins sidelined

By Sportsbeat
Wales prop Gethin Jenkins has pulled out of Saturday's RBS 6 Nations clash with England at Twickenham after picking up a calf injury.
The 29-year-old picked up the knock during training becoming Wales’ second British and Irish Lions front row casualty of the week after hooker Matthew Rees suffered a recurrence of a groin injury last weekend.

Ospreys prop Paul James will replace Jenkins while uncapped Saracens prop Rhys Gill moves up to the bench.

Jenkins will remain in the Welsh camp while his injury is fully assessed by the medical team.

But despite losing two thirds of his Lions front row, boss Warren Gatland insists James will be a more than adequate replacement.

“Paul James has been one of the form props in the Welsh regions so far this season and we are confident he will be a more than able deputy for Gethin,” said Gatland.

“Obviously it's not ideal for us to lose Gethin at this stage and we wish him a speedy recovery.”
