Back-row forward Catrina Nicholas insists Wales will use the same siege mentality which saw them overcome England last year when they lock horns in this season's RBS 6 Nations opener.
Nicholas was part of the Welsh side which defeated England 16-15 and claimed the triple crown in 2009 although it was their bitter rivals who lifted the championship trophy at the end of the campaign.
England will be favourites to avenge that defeat at Esher Rugby Club this Saturday but Nicholas insists history can repeat itself.
“It was a huge achievement to beat England last year and it is just a case of trying to repeat that success this year,” she said.
“We have got a much smaller pool of players to select from but if you look at other teams, we train just as professionally and just as hard as they do.
“We don’t have any individual superstars, it is all about playing for each other.
“We are a family and we look out for each other on the field. We take all our successes and failures as a family and that is what makes us such a strong collective unit.”
