SCOTLAND SQUAD UPDATE

Back-row forward Alasdair Strokosch will miss Scotland's opening RBS 6 Nations Championship match against France at Murrayfield on Sunday due to injury.

Strokosch will return to the care of his club medical team at Gloucester today as he is still troubled by an ankle injury he sustained in a club match last month.

Rory Lamont (Toulon) will not be considered for selection for this weekend's game as he will be working on his rehabilitation with the Scotland medical team following problems with his ankle, after a club match last midweek.

The Scotland team to play France will be announced at 12 noon tomorrow.
