Glasgow's Heineken Cup campaign ended with a crushing 41-20 defeat in Biarritz - but coach Sean Lineen insists the future still looks bright for his side.
Scotland captain Chris Cusiter warmed up for the RBS 6 Nations tournament in style with a stunning try as the Magners League leaders led 20-11 early in the second half.
But 30 unanswered points from the French side secured their place in the quarter-finals and Lineen was left to pick the positives out of the loss.
“We were pleased with the way the first half went and we showed we can score tries at any level against the best sides, despite the wet conditions,” he said.
“But you saw the strength of Biarritz and we struggled to match them up front. It’s a disappointing way to end the campaign but a lot of the young guys will have learned from this experience.”
