Martin Johnson will lead England in four autumn tests

England face autumn Samoa test

England will play Samoa for the first time in half a decade this year after the autumn international fixtures were announced this week.

Martin Johnson’s men will face four back-to-back Twickenham tests starting with the visit of Australia on November 13.

Samoa – who England have not played since 2005 - will be the opponents the week before world champions South Africa and then New Zealand complete the fixtures.

“We are delighted to be welcoming these teams,” said the RFU’s Paul Vaughan. “The games should provide a great spectacle for all the fans.

“The four Test matches will showcase players from all sides that are amongst the best in the world.”

England kick off their RBS 6 Nations campaign against Wales at Twickenham on February 6.
