Munster and Leinster both secure European wins

Irish internationals Keith Earls, Donncha O'Callaghan and Ronan O'Gara warmed up for next month's RBS 6 Nations with a scoring performance as Munster mauled sorry Treviso 44-7 in the Heineken Cup.

Munster remain in pole position in Pool One and are already eyeing the knockout stages after racking up their fourth win in five attempts in Europe this season.

Earls touched down in either half while Denis Hurley, O'Callaghan, Paul Warwick and Donnacha Ryan also scored, while O'Gara added 12 points in an emphatic victory.

Alessandro Zanni grabbed an interception score but the Italian champions never looked likely to trouble Munster.

Meanwhile, Leinster secured a bonus-point victory over French club Brive to move clear at the top of Heineken Cup Pool Six.

The reigning Heineken Cup champions were awarded a penalty try on 26 minutes, with Sexton adding the conversion, while Isa Nacewa, Gordon D'Arcy and Brian O'Driscoll scored second-half tries for Leinster.
