Wasps wing Paul Sackey has suffered his second major blow of the month after being ruled out for three months with a fractured cheekbone.
The 30-year-old missed out on a place in Martin Johnson’s England squad for the RBS 6 Nations last week – having to make do with a slot in the Saxons set-up.
And after going down during Tony Hanks’ side’s 50-16 Amlin Challenge Cup demolition of Roma on Thursday, Sackey is now ruled out of Wasps' games with Racing Metro, the Scarlets and Newcastle Falcons.
Sackey's omission from the EPS squad ensured England would head into the Six Nations without a single Wasps back, with Danny Cipriani, Dom Waldouck, Joe Simpson, Tom Rees, George Skivington, Dan Ward-Smith and Rob Webber all overlooked.
