Dupuy and Attoub face bans
15 December 2009, 8:05 am
By Sportsbeat
Stade Francais pair Julien Dupuy and David Attoub face a 12-week ban for alleged eye-gouging after being cited during the French club's 23-13 defeat against Ulster at the weekend.
Ireland flanker Stephen Ferris was the victim of the incidents, with punishments for the offence ranging from a 12-week ban through to a maximum of three years.

Former Leicester Tiger Dupuy, who is the current first choice number nine for France and started all four autumn tests against Australia, Samoa, South Africa and New Zealand, faces the prospect of missing the Six Nations all-together if found guilty.

"I was at the bottom of a ruck and felt my eyes being tugged at," said Ferris.

An official ERC statement said that an independent judicial officer will be appointed as soon as practicable.
