Leicester head coach Richard Cockerill believes young prop Dan Cole is already in Martin Johnson's RBS 6 Nations thoughts.
The 22-year-old tight-head was the star of the show as Leicester demolished Wasps 34-8 on Saturday, giving England loose head Tim Payne a real going over.
And despite his tender years Cockerill wouldn’t be surprised if England head coach Johnson names Cole in his Elite Player Squad on Wednesday.
"The scrum has been the foundation of our recent victories and young Dan Cole has played his part,” said Cockerill.
"He is a local lad who wants to play for his local club and I don't want him getting bogged down in talk of England.
"Dan is only 22 and has lots to learn. But he is playing well, and it's up to the England coaches.
“If he plays well for us and England see fit to pick him, then great. If he doesn’t (get picked) he will continue to develop with us.”
