Nicolas Mas with Dan Carter
Mas admits anger at Euro flop

Perpignan Skipper Nicolas Mas admitted after last week's loss at Munster that the team would use their holiday break before the Top 14 kicks off again next week to try digest the bitter taste of a 'huge disappointment.'
For the second consecutive year, Perpignan have no chance of making it past the pool stages of the Heineken cup.

“This is really hard to take," conceded the French international prop, who was shocked by the manner of the 37-14 defeat.

"We pretty much conceded 40 points at home. It really is hugely disappointing. We had a lot riding on this match.

“Having lost by only a point [at Thomond Park] gave us a lot of hope but Munster are used to these big challenges and came down here to win without worrying about playing on our pitch.

"Our European Cup is over and the holiday will help us clear our minds of it all."
