Wales fly-half Stephen Jones has given Warren Gatland an injury scare after picking up a shoulder injury in Scarlets' Magners League victory over Newport Gwent Dragons on Thursday.
The 32-year-old had to be withdrawn 54 minutes into his side’s 14-9 win at Rodney Parade with a shoulder problem that he picked up in a first-half tackle.
With Wales’ RBS Six Nations campaign due to kick off against England at Twickenham in just over a month’s time – on February 6 – the potential loss of the 83-cap No. 10 could be terrible news for Gatland.
No reports have been released on the status of the 32-year-old’s injury but despite his side taking the victory Scarlets remain second bottom of the Celtic League.
Jones had earlier kicked two penalties and Scarlets full-back Rhys Priestland scored the game’s only try.
All of the Dragons' points came from the boot of fly-half Shaun Connor but despite the defeat they remain in sixth place.
