Jamie Noon insists he was more than happy to be out of sight and out of mind for the autumn internationals after his summer move to Brive.
The 30-year-old’s chances of adding to his 38 caps were boosted by a series of injuries to Mike Tindall, Jordan Turner-Hall and Brive team-mate Riki Flutey.
But the powerhouse centre, who was overlooked for the Elite and Saxons squads, admits his only focus is on establishing himself at the Stade Amédée-Domenech.
“I still love the idea of playing for England and that’s nothing I will give up on but my main objective at the moment is playing well for Brive,” said Noon.
“I’ve honestly not thought about playing for England – I’ve got enough to worry about with the issues of moving to a new club and a new country with a young family.
“England know what I can do and what I bring to the party so if the call comes that’s great but it’s not something I will worry about.”
