Munster and Ireland's John Hayes has had his ban for stamping reduced to five weeks on appeal.
The prop was handed a six-week suspension after stamping on Leinster’s Cian Healy in the Magners League encounter earlier this month.
But an Irish Rugby Football Union appeals panel in Dublin - chaired by Billy Glynn - tonight cut the appeal due to Hayes’ good disciplinary record.
The reduction will not allow Hayes to play any more games, though. His ban, which runs until November 8, keeps him out this weekend’s Heineken Cup clash with Treviso and Magners League matches against Edinburgh and Ulster.
He will available for all Ireland’s autumn internationals, starting on November 15 against Australia at Croke Park.
