Jennings cited for Kennedy incident

Leinster flanker Shane Jennings has been cited for allegedly making contact with the eye or eye area of London Irish lock Nick Kennedy during the defending champions' 12-9 Heineken Cup defeat.

Kennedy complained furiously to the French referee Romaine Poite about an incident late in the first half on Friday night - but later claimed to have over-reacted.

The match citing commissioner Richard McGhee, from Scotland, nonetheless decided Jennings has a case to answer. No date for the hearing has yet been set.
