Wales wing Mark Jones returns from injury to captain the Scarlets in their Heineken Cup opener against former champions Brive on Saturday.
Jones missed the 45-24 league defeat in Ulster with a dead leg as did flanker Simon Easterby (knee), who also returns against the French side.
The key change for the Scarlets is wing Sean Lamont playing in the centre.
"We have tried Sean out there a couple of times, what it allows us to do is bring our most potent backline onto the park," said coach Nigel Davies.
"I think the balance between Sean and Jon [Davies] is going to be an interesting one and if you were looking to defend against that it would cause you a few sleepless nights."
In all the Scarlets make seven changes, two positional, from the side that lost at Ravenhill, but Wales hooker Matthew Rees keeps his place ahead of Ken Owens.
