Chris Paterson believes Edinburgh's win over Cardiff Blues on Friday shows life goes on after Andy Robinson.
Robinson quit to take over as Scotland boss over the summer after masterminding last season’s second place finish in the Magners League.
However, new boss Rob Moffat got off to an impressive start in the new campaign when Edinburgh triumphed with a 22-21 victory in Wales.
Full-back Paterson said: “The result proves there is life after Andy.
“The whole squad are delighted for Rob and our other new coaches, Tom Smith and Nick Scrivener.
“There have been changes but not a huge turnover of players, which has been pleasing. But we are a tight-knit team already.
“Rob has come in and has followed on Andy’s good work from last season - but he made the point this is a new season and a new challenge.”
