Scarlets centre Regan King is battling to be fit for the start of the new season after a hamstring operation.
The 28-year-old Kiwi was injured in a 31-17 defeat by Leinster in February.
The Scarlets Magners League season begins at home to the Irish province on September 4.
"We are really pleased with Regan's progress since the op, he is doing well and is on course in terms of rehab," said Scarlets physio Patrick Moran.
"He has already been undertaking light training and some upper body strength and we should see him running again by the end of August.
"We will be working closely with him, and are hopeful that he will be back and available for selection in the autumn."
