Edinburgh are seeking a new coach after Andy Robinson was appointed Scotland coach and Loffreda says he could be the man for the job.

He told the Edinburgh Evening News: “Fortunately I am finished my agreement with Leicester and now I am free.

“I had a chat with an agent about the job with Edinburgh, which I could be interested in, although there are a lot of ifs. But I don't reject it.

“I know Edinburgh and my Leicester team played against them. They are a great team with a chance to be one of the best in Europe.

“The only thing I am a bit worried about is the time when the internationalists are out.

“I think there can be around 17 or 18 players involved in internationals. But that is another challenge – you have to work hard at producing players from an academy.

“If things go well I could be at Edinburgh.”
