Scotland winger Thom Evans is delighted to be back in Sevens action after being included in the national team's squad for the final two events of the IRB World Series.
Ally Hogg, a regular in the back row for the past four seasons, and Glasgow flier Evans will lead Scotland's bid for glory in the events in London this weekend and Edinburgh next Saturday and Sunday.
Playing in Sevens provided Evans with his initial exposure to international rugby before he progressed to the Scotland Test team.
He said: “My first taste of rugby on the world stage came in Sevens and I can’t wait to be involved with the squad once again.
“Sevens is one of the best spectacles in world rugby and it suits my game down to a tee. I love the pace the game is played at as well as the fitness aspect.
“Competition in London and Edinburgh is very strong because there are some exciting teams taking part. I’m confident in the squad and believe that we can challenge anyone out there.
“I’m very fortunate to join a squad that’ll probably be the best squad we’ve had so far.”
