Chris Paterson has been voted player of the season by the Scotland rugby supporters club.
Scotland’s record points scorer and most capped player, 31, received his prize award at a star-studded ceremony at Murrayfield.
It has been 10 years since Edinburgh full-back Paterson made his Test debut and in that time he has amassed 95 caps and a personal tally of 738 points.
During the two-match summer Test series against Argentina, he surpassed Gavin Hastings’ record of 667 points and Scott Murray’s mark of 87 caps.
Paterson is only two tries away from equalling the Scotland record of 24 jointly held by Tony Stranger and Ian Smith.
Wednesday night’s ceremony also saw Scotland and Glasgow centre Max Evans named Magners League player of the season.
