Munster call on Lions for season finale

Munster skipper Paul O'Connell is one of four Lions players selected to face Ospreys in the champions' final Magners League game of the season.

O’Connell, who will lead the touring party to South Africa, starts alongside Ronan O’Gara, David Wallace and Keith Earls, while fellow Lion Donncha O’Callaghan is named on the bench.

In contrast, Ospreys have rested all of their Lions players for the match, although Wales captain Ryan Jones and fly-half James Hook are included in the starting XV.

Long-serving duo Frankie Sheahan and Anthony Horgan will make their final appearances for Munster before they retire.

Sheahan made his debut for the province in November 1996 against Western Samoa, while Horgan’s bow came eight months later against Connacht.

Prop Federico Pucciarello will also don the Munster jersey for the last time before he leaves the club.
