Scotland full-back Hugo Southwell is poised to make his return to action for the first time since playing in the final match of the 2009 RBS 6 Nations.
Southwell suffered a head knock in Scotland's Calcutta Cup defeat at Twickenham and hasn't featured for his club Edinburgh since then.
But the talented utility back is back in the Edinburgh squad for the trip to the second-placed Ospreys on Saturday.
He is likely to feature from the bench in a line-up named by Andy Robinson which is otherwise unchanged from the one which defeated Heineken Cup semi-finalists Leinster last weekend.
Chris Paterson retains Southwell's favoured number 15 jersey and the Scotland star will be seeking to add to the 147 points he has scored for the club in his return season.
Meanwhile it will be the first time Mike Blair and Ross Ford have played since being overlooked for the Lions tour of South Africa.
Edinburgh won 32-16 against the Ospreys in November but are still without Scotland men Allan Jacobsen, Ross Rennie and David Callam.
