By James Coyne
Former Glasgow and Scotland lock David Gray has died at the age of 56.
The Kilmarnock, Ayrshire and West Scotland second row won nine caps for his country, making his debut against England at Murrayfield in 1978.

Gray, 6ft 8ins and 17st 10lbs formed a formidable pack partnership at club level with British Lions and Scottish internationals Sandy Carmichael Gordon Brown.

He faced Ireland, France and New Zealand in 1979 and played all four matches for Scotland in the 1980 Five Nations Championship. His final international appearance came against France in 1981.
