Scotland stand-off Dan Parks has been dropped by Glasgow coach Sean Lineen for the clash with the Scarlets.
Parks, part of Scotland’s RBS 6 Nations squad for the past two months, is replaced by Ruaridh Jackson for the Warriors’ trip to the Parc Y Scarlets.
Lineen has been a staunch supporter of Parks in the past 18 months as the Sydney-born fly-half has battled to win over critics for club and country.
But now the former Scotland centre is giving youth a chance against the Welsh outfit as Glasgow seek to bounce back from last week’ss Magners League defeat.
The Warriors team is strengthened by the return of Graeme Morrison and John Barclay following their RBS 6 Nations exertions.
Meanwhile Scotland wing Thom Evans will be back on the wing after being left out as a precaution last week following a head knock he suffered against England on the last weekend of the RBS 6 Nations.
Prop Kevin Tkachuk starts ahead of Justin Va’a, who has a head knock while full-back Bernardo Stortoni will miss his first game since signing at the beginning of last season due to concussion.
