The Paisley-born back-row forward has been named in a 24-man squad for Friday’s Magners League clash against Munster at Firhill and he was delighted with his latest good news.

The Scotland A international said: “I’m really happy to have signed for another two years because the club is going places and there’s a great atmosphere both in the squad and in the stands at Firhill.

“I feel I’ve made real progress in the three years I’ve been with Glasgow and I want to stay here to try and make that next step up.”

Head coach Sean Lineen added: “James is a hugely energetic player and trainer, and if you cut him in half, you’d see he’s Glasgow through and through.”
