England expect to learn tomorrow whether Northampton hooker Dylan Hartley will be available for selection against Ireland after he suffered a strained calf muscle.
Hartley played the full 80 minutes in Saints’ 9-5 Guinness Premiership defeat to London Wasps on Sunday, having been released from the England squad.
The 22-year-old has appeared, as a substitute, in both England’s RBS 6 Nations matches this season.
Hartley made his England debut in November, coming off the bench against the Pacific Islanders at Twickenham. He was also used as a replacement against Australia, South Africa and New Zealand.
