Ireland announce enlarged party
23 February 2009, 10:39 am
By James Coyne
Ireland have named an expanded 36-man squad as they prepare for Saturday's crunch RBS 6 Nations game against England at Croke Park.
The Irish match-day squad who beat Italy in Rome are supplemented by additions from the Ireland A squad that defeated Scotland A 35-10 at the RDS.

Two of the A side’s try-scorers from that win, Leinster fly-half Jonathan Sexton and Eoin Reddan - the London Wasps scrum-half, are named in the party. Ulster wing Andrew Trimble is also in the squad.

Ireland coach Declan Kidney will trim down to the match-day squad on Tuesday.

With two opening victories in this year's tournament, Ireland would stay on course for the Grand Slam if they lift the Millennium Trophy.
