Dan Parks
Dan Parks
Lineen hails perfect Parks
18 January 2009, 12:18 pm
By Catherine Goble
Glasgow coach Sean Lineen was full of praise for Scotland star Dan Parks after his side pulled off a sensational victory in the European Cup against Toulouse.
The Warriors travelled to the south of France knowing they could not qualify for the knock-out stages but produced a magnificent performance to defeat the European giants 33-26.

Max Evans was named man of the match for a terrific stint in the centre alongside Graeme Morrison as they made their case to Scotland coach Frank Hadden ahead of Tuesday's RBS 6 Nations squad announcement with accomplished performances.

But it was Parks, who wasn't in the original selection and only played after Ruaridh Jackson pulled out with injury, who stole the show in Lineen's eyes.

The former Scotland centre said: "We kept the ball well and Dan was simply outstanding. It was an absolutely fantastic result and I am so proud of every one of the boys. They stuck to the gameplan and it worked a treat."
