MEDIA ACCREDITATION: RBS Six Nations 2009

The Media Accreditation process for the Wales' home matches in the RBS Six Nations 2009 is now open.
To apply, log into your account at: http://www.westgatepr.co.uk/accreditation

The deadline for applications will be 14 days ahead of each match. The fixtures are:


Wales v England14/02/09 17:30 Deadline: 31/01/09
Wales v Ireland 21/03/09 17:30 Deadline: 07/03/09


KEY INFORMATION

Please follow the guidelines below to register your interest. Only bona fide working journalists / photographers / broadcasters will be approved by the Welsh Rugby Union.

Please also note that not everyone who applies is guaranteed a pass.

You will be informed of the status of your application via e-mail 10 days before each game.

Match day passes are collect only on the day of the match from the Gate 5 of the Millennium Stadium, where you will be asked to supply a printed copy of the e-mail confirmation you receive as mentioned above. Entry opens three hours before kick off, and closes 30 minutes ahead of kick off. No admittance will be granted after that time.

For those Sports Desk / Photo Desk administrators filling out multiple request forms for newspapers and major agencies, please be advised that all email correspondence from Westgate will also be copied to the applicant.

Photographers should note they will be required to accept a set of Millennium Stadium/WRU Terms and Conditions. These conditions are found on Westgate's website and you will be asked to signify your acceptance during the online application process. You are also asked to print and sign an agreement and bring it to the venue ahead of each match

Should your application be successful and you require an ISDN line or Telephone line to be activated at Millennium Stadium please contact BT Events on 0800 400 400 if you are based in the UK.

If you are outside the UK and require an ISDN line please contact your local telephone provider who will be able to arrange.

Please note the Millennium Stadium press areas are serviced by a pay per use BT Open Zone wireless connection.

FURTHER INFORMATION

You must register with the Westgate accreditation system to apply for accreditation.

i) INFORMATION FOR NEW USERS
To register, please go to www.westgatepr.co.uk/accreditation and select 'New user'. Westgate will contact you via email to activate your account. Log in to your account again and you can request the RBS Six Nations 2009 accreditation by following the link for registered users.

ii) INFORMATION FOR REGISTERED USERS
Login to your account at www.westgatepr.co.uk/accreditation with your email address and password. Select the RBS Six Nations 2009 link on the left hand side of the page and follow the instructions. If you have forgotten your password, fill in the 'Forgotten password' field and a new password will be emailed to you.

iii) INFORMATION FOR THOSE WHO REQUEST MULTIPLE ACCREDITATIONS
If you choose the sports desk administrator category at the initial registration stage, you can accredit multiple staff quickly and easily. At the point of registration choose 'Sports Desk Administrator' on the drop down menu under 'Media Category' then follow the instructions to register your staff.

Once approved you can log in to your account at www.westgatepr.co.uk/accreditation and select the RBS Six Nations 2009 from the left hand side of the page. Select the staff members you wish to be accredited from the drop down menu and follow the on-screen instructions. Please note, you are then responsible for passing on all relevant accreditation information to your staff.

To request accreditation for yourself or your staff complete the following process.

1 >> Log in to your account at westgatepr.co.uk
2 >> Click RBS Six Nations 2009 on the left hand side of the page
3 >> Click 'Request accreditation'
4 >> Select a name from the drop down menu at the bottom of the page
5 >> Hit the orange 'Request accreditation' button at the bottom of the page
6 >> Fill the check box for the games you wish to attend
7 >> Ensure your contact details are correct and press 'Confirm request' to complete the accreditation process

For multiple registration requests repeat steps 2-7 for each member of staff.
