Stortoni backs Parks recall

Argentina star Bernardo Stortoni has backed Dan Parks for a Scotland recall in this year's RBS 6 Nations.

Parks was Frank Hadden’s choice at stand-off until last summer when he was dropped after the loss of the first Test against the Pumas.

Phil Godman came into the side for the second Test and Scotland’s victory has ensured the Edinburgh man has held on to the No.10 shirt since then.

Parks was in fine form as Glasgow defeated Edinburgh in the second match of the 1872 Cup at Firhill.

And Stortoni said: “Dan is a very important player for us and has shown he is international class.

“He is an excellent kicker with a quick mind and is a great person to play alongside. He has shown time and time again what a good player he is for us and Scotland.

"He is good enough to get back into the Scotland team, no question.”
