Godman fears Parks challenge

Phil Godman admits he will have to be on his best form to keep the Scotland No.10 shirt from Dan Parks.

Scotland coach Frank Hadden has selected Godman at stand-off for the last four Tests after preferring Parks for much of his reign.

Godman came into the side for the second Test in Argentina during the summer and did well enough to hold onto the position for the three Tests in November.

His greater attacking threat has added an added dimension to Scotland's game after the limited but effective kicking game of Sydney-born Parks.

But the Edinburgh playmaker knows Parks will be keen to be restored to the starting line-up.

He said: "Dan has been in very good form for Glasgow and is a great player. He will want to take my place in the side and I have to be on top of my game to stop that happening."
