Hamilton relishing Glasgow clash

Scotland lock Jim Hamilton is relishing the prospect of playing in the biggest club game of his career.

Hamilton moved from Leicester to Edinburgh this summer and is well versed in big matches south of the border as well as international clashes.

Now the giant forward is ready to play in his first Edinburgh v Glasgow derby as the David Lloyd 1872 Cup goes up for grabs.

The first leg is on Boxing Day at Murrayfield with the return match on January 2 at Firhill - and Edinburgh are playing the role of contender after Glasgow clinched the cup last year.

Hamilton said: "This fixture is one of the reasons why I joined Edinburgh in the summer; to be involved in the biggest game in Scotland will be an awesome experience."

"I was fortunate enough to play in front of some big crowds at Leicester for derby matches, but to be involved in a game of this magnitude will be a great experience."
