Lineen not happy with set pieces
15 December 2008, 4:35 pm
By Catherine Goble
Glasgow coach Sean Lineen was not impressed with the quality of work produced by his pack in the set piece during the European Cup defeat to Bath.
Glasgow's solitary try came from Colin Gregor while Dan Parks kicked 11 points as the West Country side secured back-to-back victories over the Scottish outfit.

Matt Banahan scored two tries and Shaun Berne and Joe Maddock one apiece as the former European champions ran out 25-19 winners.

Lineen was unhappy with the work his forwards produced in the scrum and the line-out in the Firhill loss.

The Scotland assistant coach said: "We never established a platform and in the second half we were unable to create a meaningful try opportunity.

"We were buzzing at half-time, but we didn't win enough possession after the restart to mount any real threat.

"Our scrum was not as good as it should have been and at times the lineout did not function.

"When we did get the ball, we couldn't keep it long enough to put Bath under pressure."
