Wales lock Luke Charteris has signed a three-year contract extension with Newport-Gwent Dragons.
The 6ft 9in forward is set to remain with the Magners League side until at least 2012.
Charteris, 25, has made nine Test appearances, starting for Wales against Canada last month and coming on as a replacement during the 29-9 loss to New Zealand.
Dragons head coach Paul Turner said: “Luke been consistently good for the region and continues to impress in the boiler-house of the second-row.
“He is a great lineout weapon with huge potential, and we are thrilled to have him here for a further three years.
“It is the time of year where recruitment talks are being held, and hopefully we will add to Luke’s signing in the near future.”
