Ireland centre Andrew Trimble is set to return from injury in Ulster's Heineken Cup clash with Scarlets at Ravenhill on Friday.
Trimble has been named in Ulster’s 25-man squad for the first of two back-to-back meetings with the Welsh side.
The 24-year-old was unavailable for last weekend’s Magners League 53-13 thrashing of Connacht due to a hip problem.
Fijian winger Timoci Nagusa is ruled out with a hamstring injury, meaning young Ballymena clubman Ian Whitten is in the squad.
In the forwards, Thomas Anderson returns and will be hoping to be named in the starting line-up which will be confirmed tomorrow.
Injuries have ruled Carlo Del Fava (groin) and Clinton Schifcofske (knee) out of contention.
