Smith admits to Brewer concern
3 November 2008, 9:02 am
By Rob Barnett
New Zealand assistant coach Wayne Smith admits the presence of former All Black captain Mike Brewer in the Scotland camp might prove a problem for his side on Saturday.
Brewer will take charge of the Scotland pack for the first time in an international when the All Blacks arrive at Murrayfield at the weekend.

Brewer skippered his country during a distinguished career and Smith feels his knowledge of New Zealand rugby could prove beneficial to Frank Hadden's side.

Scotland have never beaten New Zealand in a Test and were comfortably defeated in the World Cup group game in Edinburgh last year.

Smith said:"Mike's a smart operator, was a smart captain, and understands the way we play, so he might be able to take away some of the mystique."
