Hanley accepts new role

Steve Hanley has taken up a new role with Sale Sharks in the commercial and community departments.

Hanley - who has just started his testimonial season - was forced to retire from playing after picking up a back injury against Bayonne last December.

Hanley said: "After retiring from playing I had a chat with James Jennings who was keen for me to stay involved at the Sharks, and I was delighted to accept his offer."
