Wales reach Sevens final

Wales secured their place in the Hanover Sevens final with a 19-14 victory over Georgia.

Pre-tournament favourites Portugal will provide the opposition in Sunday’s showpiece after Wales triumphed thanks to two Rhodri McAtee tries and another from Andy Powell.

Wales had seen off Belgium 33-12 in their final group game despite having three players sin-binned, a victory which confirmed their qualification for the 2009 World Cup Sevens in Dubai.
