Peel poised for Sharks bow

Wales scrum-half Dwayne Peel expects to be fit to make his Sale debut next month after making a speedy recovery from shoulder surgery.
The Lions scrum-half, 26, was expected to be out until the end of the year after injuring himself at the end of last season.

But Peel, who signed a three-year contract with the Sharks in January after deciding to leave Llanelli Scarlets, is now targeting a return to action in the August friendly against Leeds.

He said: “I can see light at the end of the tunnel and I’ll be fit for the start of the season. There was doubt but surgery and rehab have gone well.”

Talking about the forthcoming season, he added: “All I want is an injury-free season for club and country.”
