Roberts joins Connacht

Connacht have completed the signing of former Wasps and Glasgow Warriors winger Mike Roberts.

Roberts, who won three Premiership titles and a Heinken Cup with Wasps, put pen to paper after spending a spell training with the club.

"I'm delighted to have joined Connacht and am looking forward to the start of the season," the 26-year-old said.

"Since arriving training has gone really well, there is a great atmosphere in the dressing room and we're all looking forward to hitting the ground running come the start of the season."

Connacht chief executive Gerry Kelly said: “He is a very strong running, powerful winger and his record is a testament to that.

“He was the top try scorer for Glasgow in his first season there and scored a few hat-tricks in his time with Wasps so we're looking forward to him bringing that.”
