Lineen excited by Scotland role

Glasgow head coach Sean Lineen is relishing his return to the Scotland scene after being named as one of Frank Hadden's assistants for the tour of Argentina.
The former Scotland centre will take charge of the back division after succeeding Alan Tait, who performed the role in the 2008 RBS 6 Nations.

The New Zealand-born coach has been drafted in along with Edinburgh counterpart Andy Robinson, who will oversee the forwards in succession to George Graham, following Scotland's poor performance in the RBS 6 Nations.

The Tests against the Pumas, who knocked Scotland out of the World Cup last October, will be vital ahead of the seedings for the next tournament.

Lineen said: "I'm really excited to be involved again with the national squad, especially given the importance of the two matches against the Pumas as far as Scotland's world ranking is concerned.

"But my involvement does not dilute my commitment to Glasgow Warriors and right now my focus is on ensuring that we end our final two away games in the Magners League, against Ulster and Munster, on a high and build on our last three victories against the Dragons, Edinburgh and Llanelli."
