| Scotland scrum-half Sam Pinder hopes he will be able to celebrate his 100th game for Glasgow Warriors with a rare victory over Newport-Gwent Dragons. | ||||||
| The New Zealand-born player came to Scotland in 2003 as he struggled to oust All Blacks No 9's Steve Devine and Mark Robinson from the Auckland side. With a grandmother who hails from East Lothian, Pinder jumped at the chance to revitalise his career with GHA and then the Warriors. He impressed the Scotland set-up sufficiently by 2006 to be selected for the summer tour of South Africa. Frank Hadden awarded him his first cap as a second-half substitute for Mike Blair in Durban and followed up with a second replacement appearance in the second Test in Port Elizabeth a week later. |
