Cardiff Blues have rested Wales Grand Slam stars Tom Shanklin, Gethin Jenkins and Martyn Williams for their league clash with Llanelli Scarlets at Stradey Park.
David Young has made three changes to the side that kept their title hopes alive with a thrilling last minute win against Munster as Nick Macleod, Scott Morgan and T Rhys Thomas all return to the starting XV.

Meanwhile, the Scarlets have named Welsh international trio Stephen Jones, Dwayne Peel and Alix Popham make the first XV.

Wales hooker Matthew Rees is on the bench while wing Mark Jones is rested.

Scott MacLeod, who cemented his place in the Scotland side during the RBS 6 Nations will also start the game from the bench while Simon Easterby is being rested.

“I’m looking forward to leading the side against the Blues,” said Peel told Llanelli’s website.

“Derby games are always a little bit special and with both sides with realistic ambitions of winning the league, this should be a great occasion.”
