Dan Parks
Dan Parks
Scotland go for Parks
14 March 2008, 4:17 pm
By Tim Sanderson
Scotland have replaced injury-hit Nikki Walker with Dan Parks and switched Chris Paterson to the left wing for Saturday's RBS 6 Nations clash with Italy in Rome.
Wing Walker was ruled out of Scotland’s plans last night due to an injury to his right ankle, and Frank Hadden decided not to rush into a decision on who would be his replacement.

Head coach Hadden eventually opted to move Paterson, who was due to start at fly-half, to the wing, allowing Parks to come in at number 10.

Andrew Henderson replaces Parks on the bench, and Hadden said: “It’s somewhat typical of the ill-luck we’ve had with injuries since the World Cup that we’ve lost Nikki Walker for our final match of the championship.

“But we’ve made the changes with a view to giving us the best possible chance of victory.”
